Diana and 'Hair' tribe perform with Kelly Ripa on 'Live'

Diana, Ace Young and the rest of the Hair tribe members visited the set of Live with Regis & Kelly this morning to perform as part of the syndicated talk show's "Broadway Week" special.

Just as Diana promised in a recent tweet, Live co-host Kelly Ripa took part in the performance, which can be watched below:



Before the performance took place, co-host Regis Philbin introduced a recorded message from Hair cast members backstage at the Al Hirschfeld Theater talking about their excitement to be on Live. Diana even recalled her performance of "Dreams" on the show back in 2004 after she finished as runner-up on American Idol. Watch the segment below:



The tribe is next supposed to perform on CBS's The Early Show in the near future.

Diana reviews grooming products, talks 'Hair' with The AP

Diana and three fellow Hair tribe members reviewed what else but eco-friendly grooming products for Time Out New York in honor of Earth Day last week. Diana was tasked with reviewing three products: Azur sunscreen, Eco Tools recycled-steel nail-care set and Sula Beauty Paint & Peel polish. Of Azur, Diana said:

“This SPF is so awesome because (a) you don’t smell like you’re wearing sunscreen, (b) it’s not greasy, and (c) it’s super water-resistant. When I did a little protest down in D.C. and ran into the water at the Mall, it totally stayed on.”

The tribe members also took part in a photo shoot for the piece, with a video montage below:

Diana, Ace and the rest of the Hair tribe will appear on Live with Regis & Kelly tomorrow where they will perform with co-host Kelly Ripa.

Diana and fellow alums help out for "Idol Gives Back"

Diana and fellow Idol alums RJ Helton (Season 1), Julia DeMato (Season 2) and Hair co-star Ace Young helped out the local City Harvest when they spent their Thursday afternoon at the Jan Hus Presbyterian Church soup kitchen and food pantry as part of "Idol Gives Back" week. FOX5 was there to cover the event, which can be watched below:

Diana also tweeted that she and the cast of Hair will be performing on Live with Regis anf Kelly on Tuesday, April 27, and The CBS Early Show sometime in the near future. She originally tweeted she and the cast would be appearing on the morning show tomorrow, but retracted the news in another tweet shortly after.

Diana takes on "Single Ladies" at the Laurie Beechman Theater

Diana appeared with her former Hairspray co-star Michelle Dowdy and Melissa Oropesa Monday at the Laurie Beechman Theater to chat with "The Canteen Troop" and do a little singing. Watch an excerpt of their act below:



In other news, Diana will be taking part in Feeding America's local food pantry initiative as part of American Idol's "Idol Gives Back" celebration, which will feature many former contestants contributing at their local centers.

Diana will join Ace Young, Jorge Núñez, Julia DeMato and RJ Helton by delivering food courtesy of City Harvest with at the Jan Hus Presbyterian Church in New York.

'Hair' update: Diana and Ace talk with BroadwayWorld.com

Diana and Ace were interviewed by BroadwayWorld.com along with other cast members of Hair, which was uploaded to the outlet's official YouTube channel on Thursday. Watch the interview below:

On Tues., March 31, the cast celebrated one year on Broadway in its current form, which basically involved the cast posing for photos after the curtain closed.

Matthew Blank from Playbill.com was there to snap a few shots like the one on the left.
