Diana comments on Jennifer Hudson's family tragedy

Diana talked with Access Hollywood on Friday regarding the tragic situation surrounding fellow Season 3 finalist Jennifer Hudson's family. In an article that appeared on the entertainment news magazine's Web site, Diana said:

I was completely shocked and stunned when I heard about this tragedy. I know how important Jennifer's mother and brother were to her, especially because her father was never in the picture. They were so nice and so pleasant. Jennifer always spoke about her mom, how close they were and how much of a "big sister" role her mom played in her life.

I can’t imagine what she is going through. I hope everybody gives Jennifer her space to deal with this because I know how much they will be missed by her. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jennifer and we are here for you.
Jennifer's nephew, Julian King, is still missing following a nationwide AMBER alert that was issued on Friday.
