Diana performs at June Jam
Diana yesterday performed at the second annual June Jam charity concert at Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. Proceeds from the concert benefited two charities - Greater Purpose, which was started by Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle with the purpose of helping children of single parents in need, and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), which recruits volunteers to help children involved in juvenile court situations.
Despite the scorching weather, Diana's fans came from all over to see her perform at the event, as documented in this article from The Gainesville Times:
Jen Martin, of Pacuare, Wis., and her friend Karen Kiscr, of Knoxville, Tenn., both 24, said they drove several hours to see DeGarmo. When asked why they were at the event, both said, "We love DeGarmo!" Both said they are members of her fan club and have been to many of her performances.Diana performed a set list of new songs and old favorites, including "Dreams," "Right Back Where We Ended" and "Chain of Fools."
Another DeGarmo fan, Cassidy Kimmel, 7, of Dahlonega, arrived with her mother, Shannon Gilleland, at 5 p.m., loaded with chairs and snacks for the big event.
