Next on Gone Country: "Demo Day & Critiques"

"Demo Day & Critiques," the sixth episode of Gone Country, airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on CMT. The following is a synopsis of the episode.

A note from Rich tells the cast that later in the day they will be recording a demo of their country singles and he will review each track that evening. The group first blows off some steam by participating in an ATV challenge (which ends up being more of a mud fight) and then gets to work laying down their tracks. Country music legend, Randy Owen of Alabama, accompanies Rich to the mansion that evening where the two review the cast's country singles. Afterwards, the group scrambles to interpret their critiques and begin to question their future in country music. The cast learns that their final performance will be the next night and all of Nashville has been invited.
Four web extras from the episode ("Carnea," "Eating Yellow," "Stickability" and "This Is For Real") are now up on CMT.com.

Gone Country's Diana DeGarmo Moves to Nashville

Diana did an interview with CMT.com's the vein of Martina-meets-Faith, with a little Dolly Parton thrown in." Diana said:

"Also, the thing that impressed me is that country fans are true, and they're diehard, and they will always support you. I was reading that Alan Jackson is releasing his 17th album, and this is his first album that he's written every song on. That's amazing! Anybody in the pop industry is lucky to have two albums. I tell people, 'I don't want to be a shooting star. I want to be a Milky Way. I want to be a galaxy. I want to have a career that's going to last a long time.' And I feel like things have been leading up to this."
Diana currently lives in the outskirts of the city on a 13-acre property.

StarPulse.com's Matthew Swanson handicaps Gone Country

StarPulse.com's Matthew Swanson blogged about Gone Country today, handicapping the competition and breaking down each contestant. He said the following about Diana:

She's a 20-year old from American Idol. She could also be a favorite, since to compete on that show one has to be used to being put to the test over and over. She wasn't born when "We're Not Gonna' Take It," "Cool It Now," or "The Football to the Nose Episode" came out, but she still is in awe of her celebrity elders.
He also said to look out for Dee becoming "super competitive" and Julio to continue his quirkiness in the upcoming episodes.
